Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Hilfsmittel und Heilbehelfe?
Hilfsmittel sind Gegenstände oder Vorrichtungen, die geeignet sind die Funktion fehlender oder unzulänglicher Körperteile zu übernehmen oder die mit einer Verstümmelung, Verunstaltung oder einem Gebrechen verbundenen körperlichen oder psychischen Beeinträchtigungen zu mildern oder zu beseitigen. (z.B. Rollstühle, Reha-Kinderwagen, Prothesen)
Heilbehelfe dienen der Heilung oder Linderung eines Krankheitszustandes. Dazu zählen zum Beispiel Brillen, orthopädische Schuheinlagen, aber auch sämtliche Verbrauchsartikel als Einmalheilbehelfe wie Windeln, Katheter usw.
Es gibt Hilfsmittel, die sowohl das körperliche Geschick als auch geistige Fähigkeiten wie Konzentrationsfähigkeit oder Auffassungsgabe trainieren helfen: zB Bewegungs-, Kraft- und Balancetrainingsgeräte. Therapiestühle, Therapiespielzeug, Lernspiele, Software zum Lernen und Trainieren, Sprech – und Perzeptionstrainer etc.
Für sinnesbehinderte Menschen sind technische Geräte, die eine Information über andere Sinne ermöglichen, unerlässlich: zB Vorlesegeräte, Bildschirmlesegeräte, Braille Geräte, Telefonverstärker, Vibrationswecker, Farbsensoren, Kommunikatoren, etc.
Ein breites Angebot an Hilfsmittel erleichtert auch die persönliche Pflege: zB verstellbare Pflegebetten, Inkontinenzvorlagen, Reha- Kinderwagen oder Rollstühle, Badeliegen, Therapiestühle, Antidekubitus Hilfsmittel, Blutzuckermessgeräte, Inhalationsgeräte, Hebehilfen im Bad, Haltegriffe, Kleinbehelfe für die Alltagsbewältigung etc.
Um solche Geräte zur Unterstützung kannst du mit einem Verordnungsschein vom Facharzt bei diversen Sanitätshäusern ansuchen. Das Sanitätshaus sucht gemeinsam mit euch das benötigte Produkt aus und erstellt ein Angebot für die Krankenkasse.
Die Abwicklung erfolgt über das Sanitätshaus. Nach meistens einigen Wochen Wartezeit bekommst du von der Krankenkasse den Bescheid über Bewilligung, Teilfinanzierung oder Ablehnung.
