Niklas hatte einen schweren Start ins Leben. Wegen Flüssigkeitsansammlungen in seinem Brustkorb musste der kleiner Kämpfer 8 Wochen zu früh per Notkaiserschnitt geboren werden.
Er hat einen Herzfehler sowie eine Lymphgefäß-Fehlbildung welche ihm ein eigenständiges Atmen fast unmöglich macht. Er war 5 Monate lang intubiert und sediert und mit Thoraxdrainagen versorgt um die Lymphflüssigkeit aus seinem Körper abzuleiten.
Seit seiner Geburt hat er mehrere Operationen darunter auch eine offene Herzoperation und Reanimation wegen Herzstillstand gemeistert. Ob ihm jemals ein Leben ohne Atemunterstützung möglich sein wird kann niemand sagen.
Für seine Erkrankung gibt es keine Therapie- oder Behandlungsmöglichkeiten. Sie ist so selten und unerforscht, dass sie als unheilbar gilt.
Niklas braucht ein sehr teures Sauerstoffgerät, das ihm beim Atmen hilft - dafür braucht er deine Hilfe!
